When we set out to create a mesh motorcycle jacket, we wanted to make sure it was an incredibly functional but also an attractive, elevated version of this must-have for warm-weather riding. Gone are the days you need to check the weather forecast before you grab your mesh jacket for a ride on a hot day. With the Draft Mesh Motorcycle Jacket, we have added an external rain- and wind-protection layer that can be thrown on should the weather or temperature change while you’re on the road.

The Draft Mesh Jacket is constructed from an ultra-breathable mesh fabric that is also highly abrasion resistant. Field-nylon at the back yoke and shoulders provide additional protection. Design details include a leather collar, hand-pocket openings, sleeve panels, and hem, as well as zippered mesh gussets at the sleeve openings. There are also zippered hand pockets for stashing necessities.

For protective armor, we partnered with D3O®, the global market leader in impact protection and shock absorption. D3O® uses unique patented and proprietary technologies to make rate-sensitive, soft, flexible materials with high shock-absorbing properties. The Draft Mesh Jacket is equipped with pads featuring D3O® technology at the back, as well as lighter, ventilated LP1 series D3O® armor at the elbow and shoulder. All of the pads are CE-certified and completely removable. In an effort to prevent the Velcro® pad-pocket closure from irritating the wearer’s skin, we have created an innovative design in which the shoulder- and elbow-pad pockets can be accessed through the lining of the back-pad pocket.

The Draft Mesh Jacket also comes with a water-resistant outer shell that fits in a zippered kangaroo pouch on the back of the mesh jacket, making it easily accessible when the weather turns cold or wet. The outer shell is constructed from a nylon stretch 3-layer fabric that is fully seam sealed, rendering it water and wind resistant. Zippered hand openings allow access to the pockets in the mesh jacket. Additionally, snap tabs connect this outer layer to the jacket underneath. There is also reflective tape at the back and sleeves for increased visibility at night.
